Setsubun

In Japan, we hold a festival,”Setsubun” it is on 2 or 3 on Feburuary, the day it is the end of the year according to the Japanese Luna calender. And the spring starts at 4th on February.

Long time ago, Setsubun is the turning point of the season, we have the festival at four days a year, the day before four season.

In Japan, we thought a lot of demons caused horrific things. So we ward off a lot of demons to throw some beans.

And we eat Eho-maki which is a lucky direction sushi roll to get more luck.with facing the ear’s direction of best luck.
